- Obituary of Mrs. T.L. GARRETT: Early Sunday morning, March 8, our neighborhood was saddened when Mrs. Tom GARRETT passed away. Her death came as a severe shock to everyone. Lillian Josephine, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank DOUDERA, was born in Foster township, November 16, 1911, and was called back to her Heavenly Home Sunday morning, March 8, 1936, at the age of 24 years, 3 months, and 21 days. On April 6, 1935, she was united in marriage to Thomas Lyle GARRETT, and to this union a little son, John Robert, came to bless their happy home Friday, February 28. Lillian was a very devoted wife and daughter, always working with untiring effort to please her loved ones. She enjoyed going to Sunday School where she was a devoted worker. Why Lillian must leave her dear husband and darling son to whom she had become so fondly attached in their short time here together, we cannot understand and again we cannot question for after all we know our Heavenly Father knows what is best for us all. "He knoweth best, we cannot tell; Why He doth sever tender ties. We only know that He is wise, He doeth all things well." Besides the dear husband and darling babe, she leaves a fond father and mother, one sister, Mrs. Mary OSBORNE, eight brothers, Frank, John, Joe, James, Thomas, Edward, George, and Harry and a host of other relatives, friends and neighbors. Again so comforting is the verse of scripture: "A little while and ye shall not see me, and again a little while and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father."
