Highlights:

167 new field box seats were added this year.

Willie McGee wins the NL batting title even though he is traded to Oakland in August.

Whitey has enough and resigns in July.

Ozzie is the lone Cardinal representative to the All-Star game.

On August 29th, Bob Tewksbury throws just 78 pitches in a 6-hit complete game victory over the Cubs.

Vince Coleman, Willie McGee, and Milt Thompson, the three regular outfielders, each have 25 or more stolen bases.

Jose Oquendo set the ML record for fewest errors (3) by a second baseman in a season with 150 or more games.  (.996 fielding percentage)

The Cardinals are managed this year by three future Hall of Famers.
