Highlights:

Lou Brock sets the ML season stolen base record!

They said it... Fun facts:

The time of weeknight games moves from 8pm to 7:30pm and weekend games from 6pm to 7pm in an effort to save electricity.

Lou Brock and Bake McBride totaled 148 of the Cardinals' 172 stolen bases this year.

Paul Molitor originally signed with the Cardinals in 1974, but never played for the Cards.

Bake McBride scored all the way from first base on a wild pickoff attempt by Mets reliever Hank Webb to score the winning run in the 25th inning of the longest NL game ever played, on Sept. 11 at Shea Stadium.

Al Hrabosky (The Mad Hungarian) pitches to two Cubs in the batter's box on September 22nd.
